GREG JACOBSON
Greg Jacobson, Chief Executive Officer, is a principal and co-founder of Banc of Manhattan Capital and is a member of its management committee. Prior to joining the firm Mr. Jacobson was President and Chief Operating Officer of the Asian subsidiary of a leading fixed income broker / dealer.

 

Mr. Jacobson has also served as the Chief Operating Officer of the nationwide mortgage banking subsidiary of a Fortune 500 homebuilder and was responsible for the creation and oversight of the largest mortgage warehouse finance bank in the U.S. In addition, he has served as the CEO of three highly successful private mortgage-related finance and origination firms. Mr. Jacobson attended Georgetown University.


TAD DAHLKE
Tad Dahlke is a principal and co-founder of Banc of Manhattan Capital and is a member of its management committee. Prior to joining the firm Mr. Dahlke was an Executive Vice President of the investment banking subsidiary of a Fortune 100 company. Mr. Dahlke was also a Managing Director at one of the nation’s largest bank-owned broker / dealers, running a mortgage products marketing team and serving as a top-producing salesperson.

 

Mr. Dahlke has also served as head of a primary consultant to the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC), and in that capacity was responsible for the sale and transfer of mortgage servicing rights and platforms of over 200 depositories. He began his career specializing in loan servicing brokerage and mortgage consulting. Mr. Dahlke has a B.S. in Finance at San Diego State University.


HAL HERMELEE
Mr. Hermelee is a principal and founder of Banc of Manhattan Capital and is a member of its management committee. Prior to joining the firm Mr. Hermelee was Executive Vice President of the investment banking subsidiary of the 10th largest U.S. bank, serving as a member of the start-up team as well as a leader in the organization for over ten years.

 

Mr. Hermelee has also served as Senior Vice President at a boutique mortgage investment bank, where he helped establish one for the first electronic trading platforms for mortgage servicing assets. In addition, he has worked as a Director of one of the largest mortgage servicing hedging advisory practices, working with the largest savings and loans and mortgage companies in the U.S. Mr. Hermelee began his career at the Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Hermelee has a B.S. in Business at the University of Michigan.


RUSSELL HOSSAIN
Mr. Hossain is Executive Vice President at Banc of Manhattan Capital, where he is responsible for building all aspects of the firm’s mortgage origination business, including marketing, production and operations. Prior to joining the firm he was National Sales Director for the Retail Division of a major Midwestern mortgage originator, and also served as Director of that firm’s Wholesale Division; in these capacities Mr. Hossain steered the firm to substantial growth, making it one of the largest mortgage lenders in the U.S.

 

Mr. Hossain’s experience in the mortgage industry encompasses the entire mortgage origination process, with positions in Operations, Secondary Marketing and Sales. He has received numerous awards for his work, both for Customer Service and Management. Mr. Hossain has a B.S. in Marketing and Management Information Systems at Minnesota State University (Winona).


PAUL JACOB
Mr. Jacob is Executive Vice President for MBS Research and Strategy at Banc of Manhattan Capital, where he is responsible for market and investment analysis, development of analytical tools and authoring the firm’s Market Briefing and Analysis publications. Prior to joining the firm Mr. Jacob was Executive Vice President for Fixed Income Research at a major fixed income broker / dealer, focusing on mortgage-related investment and trading strategies.

 

Mr. Jacob has also served as Senior Portfolio Manager at a leading New York-based fixed income asset management firm, managing $2 billion in MBS- and ABS-focused separate accounts and mutual funds. He has published extensively on the MBS market, contributing a chapter to the 2006 edition of The Handbook of Mortgage-Backed Securities edited by Frank J. Fabozzi. Mr. Jacob has an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and a BBA in Economics from the University of Texas at San Antonio.


MATT KENNEDY
Mr. Kennedy is a Senior Vice President at Banc of Manhattan Capital, where his focus is Residential MBS sales for institutional clients including large money managers, depositories, insurance companies and hedge funds. Prior to joining the firm he worked in MBS sales at a major fixed income broker / dealer, covering institutional investors as well as regional dealer desks.

 

Mr. Kennedy has also worked in sales as a fixed income Structured Product specialist at large New York-based securities firms, as well as Management and Audit Training at one of the leading brokerage firms in the U.S. Mr. Kennedy has a BS in Accountancy from Villanova University, and is a CFA Charterholder.


DAN SIGAI
Mr. Sigai is Vice President at Banc of Manhattan Capital, working in secondary secondary marketing, whole loan trading and MBS investment execution. Prior to joining the firm Mr. Sigai was an Associate at a major California-based mortgage origination, where he executed over $15 billion in both whole loan and securitization transactions, and was involved in the firm’s mortgage pricing, analytics and execution strategies.

 

Mr. Sigai has also served as a Senior Analyst in the Structured Products Group at a large investment management firm, where he invested in mortgage and asset-backed securities and administered the firm’s domestic $8 billion ABCP conduit. Mr. Sigai received his B.A. in Biology from Brown University.

 

PETER HARRISON
Mr. Harrison is Managing Director at Banc of Manhattan Capital, where he heads the trading desk, managing trading in agency and non-agency residential MBS as well as multifamily and commercial MBS. Prior to joining the firm he was a Director at a major regional broker/dealer, where he was responsible for all non-agency residential MBS trading and provided direct sales coverage on all securitized product for numerous major institutional accounts.

 

Mr. Harrison has also worked as a Senior Vice President in the trading operation at one of the largest MBS-focused broker / dealers, where he was responsible for management of trading in adjustable-rate mortgages, including whole loans, agency and non-agency MBS as well as a substantial volume of new-issue securitizations. In addition, he has worked in trading and proprietary modeling for the broker / dealer operation of a mortgage-focused government sponsored enterprise. Mr. Harrison earned a B.A. in Economics at Dartmouth College.


PAUL SCHULTZ
Mr. Schultz is an Assistant Vice President at Banc of Manhattan Capital, where he is responsible for Back Office operations and trade processing and settlement. Prior to joining the firm he worked on the Institutional Sales desk of a leading fixed income broker / dealer, where he oversaw trade settlement for a wide variety of fixed income instruments, acting as liaison between trading, sales and clients. Mr. Schultz has a B.S. in Business Administration from Salisbury State University.


SUSAN SLOAT
Susan Sloat is an Assistant Vice President at Banc of Manhattan Capital, where she assists sales and trading, works with trade settlements and helps with office management and human resource functions. Prior to joining the firm she was an Assistant Vice President for the sales assistant team at a major fixed income broker / dealer, where her duties included executing customer orders and acting as the primary point of contact with clients in facilitating trade settlement issues. Ms. Sloat has worked in the securities industry for nearly 20 years, with experience in domestic and international equities as well as fixed income.

 

DAVID GRIJALVA
Mr. Grijalva is a Senior Vice President at Banc of Manhattan Capital, where he is responsible for trading in agency and non-agency CMO's, ARMs and multifamily MBS; in addition, he is responsible for security and portfolio valuation and is a member of the firm’s advisory team. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Grijalva was Assistant Treasurer and Portfolio Manager at Imperial Capital Bank ($4 billion) and Greater Bay Bank ($8 billion). In addition, he has worked as a trader and structurer of primarily Alt-A and Prime MBS at a leading fixed income broker / dealer. Mr. Grijalva has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University, a Masters in Structural Civil Engineering from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA in Finance from Cornell University.

 

ELAINE PANG
Ms. Pang is a Managing Director of Banc of Manhattan Capital.   Prior to joining the firm Ms. Pang was an Executive Vice President at a leading fixed income broker dealer.  Elaine has worked in the Fixed Income industry for over 24yrs.  In addition Ms. Pang has handled international postings in London and Hong Kong for leading investment banks and primary dealers.
